GA Promise
GA Promise reconciliation shouldn't take hours.
Every school we talk to handles these payments the same way — manually, slowly, and nervously.
“We get a Stripe notification, then spend 20 minutes figuring out which student it’s for.”
Georgia Promise sends a disbursement. You get a Stripe email. Then the detective work starts — cross-referencing student names, tuition IDs, and payment amounts by hand.
How It Works
From disbursement to applied balance — automatically.
Six steps. Most of them require zero action from your staff.
Industry First
No other school platform knows what GA Promise is.
We built the integration because a school asked for it — and we couldn't believe nobody had done it before. FACTS, TADS, Blackbaud, Gradelink — none of them integrate with GA Promise or any external scholarship disbursement program. We do.
Already Included
GA Promise is one feature. Here's everything else.

1.
How does Acadesync receive GA Promise payments? When GA Promise sends a disbursement through Stripe, our webhook receives it instantly. The charge metadata — student name, tuition ID, drawdown information — is captured automatically. Your staff doesn't need to do anything to initiate the receipt.
2.
Do I need to switch my primary payment processor to Stripe? No. The Stripe connection for GA Promise is a dedicated, auxiliary account used only to receive scholarship disbursements — it sits alongside your existing primary payment processor (Square, Nuvei, or whichever you already use for parent payments) and doesn't replace it. Parent tuition, fees, and autopay continue to flow through your primary processor exactly as they do today; GA Promise payouts arrive separately in the Stripe account you connect and are automatically matched and applied to the right student.
3.
What if a payment doesn't match automatically?Incoming payments auto-match to the right student using the tuition ID the provider sends and any Scholarship Links you've set up for that student. If a payment arrives with a student ID we haven't seen (new student, typo, or a sibling that wasn't linked yet), it lands in the Scholarship Payments Inbox with a "Received" status. Your admin searches for the right student, matches in one click, and applies — the system remembers that link so future payments for that student auto-match. Auto-matching gets smarter the more you use it.
4.
Does the payment actually reduce the student's balance?Yes. Applying a scholarship payment creates a real payment record on the student's account, reduces the invoice balance, and marks the invoice paid (or partially paid) just like a parent payment would. The student's paid-to-date increments, autopay knows to draft less next cycle, and the payment shows up in your standard reports and reconciliation views — no special scholarship-only ledger, no parallel accounting to maintain.
5.
Is this only for GA Promise?Georgia Promise is the first program live on the platform and the one we've tuned the automation around. The underlying system is generic — any external scholarship that disburses via Stripe with student-identifying metadata can be wired in, and a school can run multiple programs side by side on the same account. If you participate in another scholarship program and want it integrated, let us know in the demo; adding a new program is a configuration change on our side, not a custom build.
6.
What does this cost? The GA Promise integration is included at our standard launch price of $1 per student per month. No separate setup fee, no per-transaction charge on scholarship payments, no add-on subscription. One flat rate covers GA Promise automation plus the rest of Acadesync — SIS, billing, gradebook, attendance, enrollment, and every portal.
7.
Does autopay know about scholarship payments so parents aren't double-charged?Yes — our autopay is scholarship-aware. When a family has a GA Promise or other external scholarship award, the monthly autopay draft is automatically reduced by the expected scholarship amount for that period. Parents are charged only for their portion, scholarship funds flow in as disbursements arrive, and the student's balance reconciles on its own. Fewer refund requests, fewer confused parents, fewer support tickets for your staff. Parents remain liable for the full tuition if the scholarship program doesn't disburse — autopay defers the expected amount, it doesn't forgive it.
